Questions & answers
Is it a real, working compass?
Yes. It is a mechanical magnetic compass in solid brass, 1.96 inches (5 cm) across, with a chain and a side lock. Release the lock and the needle points North; no batteries needed.
What can I engrave on it?
A name, initials, dates, coordinates or a short message on the front; a second engraving inside the lid is available as an option. You can also upload a photo or a handwriting sample. If an upload is not clear enough to engrave well, we email you before engraving.
Will I see a preview before engraving?
Because every piece is personalized and made to order, we aren't able to offer previews. We follow your instructions carefully, and every engraving is checked by hand before it ships. If we spot an obvious typo, we'll email you before engraving.
What if something goes wrong?
If the engraving doesn't match your order or the item arrives damaged, we remake and reship it free within 1 business day, or give you a full refund. Just send us a few photos within 7 days of delivery. Spotted a typo yourself? Message us within 1 hour of ordering and we'll fix it before engraving begins.
Can I add a gift note?
Yes. Write your gift message in the note box in the cart and we print it and put it in the package. Your gift arrives in a colorful gift pouch with no price inside the package, so you can ship it straight to him.
Will it arrive by Christmas?
For delivery before Christmas to the USA, Canada, UK and Europe, order by Saturday, December 19. We ship within 1 business day by UPS or DHL Express. Other countries take 4–8 business days.
Will I have to pay customs or import fees?
No. We ship duties paid: all customs duties and import taxes are covered by us, so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery.
Can I order several for a team or a wedding party?
Yes. 2+ items save 10% and 5+ items save 15% automatically at checkout. For larger orders or a company logo, request a bulk quote.

This is a mechanical magnetic compass. Release the side lock and the red needle points North. Line it up with the N on the dial to find East, South and West. Lock the needle when not in use to protect it.

I ordered 2 as I was ordering for twins and their First Communion. The seller took the time to inform me that I had made an error on the proverb details and I was very grateful. HE/She accommodated my request for a few changes as well. I was late in ordering and when I ordered the anticipated arrival was AFTER the engagement for which I was ordering. I ordered this for a First Communion HOPING but not expecting it to arrive on time. It arrived EARLIER than the estimated delivery date and I had it for the first communion. In addition I had made an error on the proverb number and the seller contacted me to advise me of my error. I had asked for some other changes ie. putting He and Him in upper case for first letter. The seller accommodated my request. I ordered two as they were gifts for 'twins'. They loved them. THANK YOU! I would most DEFINITELY purchase from this seller again should a need arise.
