What to Engrave on the Cover

Every journal has six engraving areas, and all of them are included in the price: the front cover top and bottom and the back cover top and bottom (up to 300 characters each), plus the two inside flaps (up to 700 characters each). Any area can hold a photo, a logo or handwriting instead of text.

A few ideas that work well for dad:

• Front: his name or monogram, like “Journal of J. M. Carter,” or simply “Dad.”

• Front, bottom: “Stories for my grandchildren” or the year he starts writing.

• Back: the coordinates of home, or the date he became a dad.
